Southern Air Freight Sdn. Bhd. was founded 29 years ago in 1975 and started as a partnership under the name of Southern Overseas Company. In February 1982, the company was converted to a private limited company and assumed its present name. The company was formed initially to provide international and domestic airfreight forwarding services and local land transportation. In 1986  Southern Shipping & Warehousing Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated to handle all seafreight activities.

The company's head office headed by Mr. Ricky Yong, the former General Manager ( Airfreight ) of Thyssen Haniel Logistics (M) Sdn. Bhd. is situated in its own 3-storey building in Subang Jaya which is 30 minutes drive from Port Klang and 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Sepang.

We are ranked among the top fifteen airfreight  agents in Malaysia in terms of total revenue cargo contributions uplifting about 3,000 tons of cargo per annum. Our own fleet of  vehicles, bonded warehouse and custom clearance / EDI facilities at KLIA Sepang, Port Klang and our associated offices in Penang, Johor, East Malaysia together with 325 representative offices in 85 countries under the World Cargo Alliance provide the facilities needed to handle both international air and sea shipments.

As a medium size and private owned operator we have the strength, resources, experience and a capable team to provide a personalised logistical services to meet our customers needs. Our logistical services include air & ocean freight forwarding, door-to-door delivery, custom brokerage, consolidation, packing, warehousing and distribution, marine cargo insurance and specialised projects handling.
